The ad spy extension for the Ad Library

Ad spying right in Chrome: see how many days each ad has been running, keep only the scaling ones, let the library scroll on its own and save the winners to Spymine.

What it does

What the ad spy extension shows in the library

The Spymine ad spy extension works inside the Ad Library, in your Chrome: every ad gets what’s missing to tell whether it sells.

  • Days running on every ad

The badge shows how many days the ad has been running, the format and the versions — no math from the date.

  • Only the scaling ones

"Scaling only" keeps just the ads running for more than 30 days and with more than 2 versions: the advertiser keeps and repeats them, a sign they sell.

  • Auto-scroll

The extension scrolls the library on its own as far as you choose, and the days, format and version filters apply right away.

  • A CSV spreadsheet

The ads that pass the filters go to a spreadsheet, with the days running, the versions and the links of each one.

  • Download the media

The video or image of each ad, in one click, to study with your team.

  • Save to Spymine

The ad goes to your Saved, in a folder just for the extension — even one Spymine doesn’t have yet.

Ad spy: frequently asked questions

An ad spy is an ad spying tool: it shows competitors’, niche and market ads with what the public library doesn’t show — how long each one has been running, the versions and the page. The Spymine extension brings that into the Ad Library.

It’s looking at the ads other people are running to understand what works: the creative, the copy, the offer and how long the ad has been running. An ad that stays up for months and gets new versions is usually selling.

It comes with every Spymine plan, including the 7-day free trial. Without a plan, it shows the way to subscribe.

Google Chrome on a computer. You download the extension from the Spymine dashboard and install it in about 30 seconds, with the step-by-step.

It only reads the Ad Library open in your browser, to show the days running, the filters and the buttons. It only talks to Spymine to check your plan and to save the ad you choose.

The extension powers up the library while you search in it. Spymine is the whole database: the ads with each one’s page, funnel, checkout and price, competitor tracking and reports.
